NP Tools maintenance methodology

NP Tools treats each utility as a bounded workflow with declared inputs, outputs, checks, and limitations. Maintenance favors testable behavior and current primary references over unsupported completeness claims.

Tool rules and references

Limits and validation rules should be tied to the relevant format, platform, protocol, or documented product requirement. Platform-dependent tools must be reviewed when official requirements change; the interface should state when manual review is still required.

Content and update dates

SEO titles, descriptions, answers, examples, and limitations live in a typed build-time registry. A page date changes only when meaningful content, behavior, or reviewed requirements change; build time is not used as a substitute for a real modification date.

Release checks

Automated tests cover registry completeness, localized metadata, canonical and hreflang links, structured data policy, sitemap membership, and machine-discovery files. Production crawling remains a separate post-deployment verification step.
